Parts Counterperson

Location: GMC of Vacaville – Vacaville, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $22.00 per hour + performance-based bonus

GMC of Vacaville is a high-performing, customer-focused dealership committed to delivering professional service, accurate parts support, and fast turnaround for our service department and customers. We are seeking a Parts Counterperson to join our growing team. Previous dealership or automotive experience is preferred, but we will train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Essential Job Duties

  • Assist technicians and customers at the parts counter

  • Learn to identify, price, and invoice OEM and aftermarket parts

  • Pull, stage, and distribute parts for service and body shop operations

  • Assist with inventory organization, cycle counts, and bin accuracy

  • Process parts orders, returns, and warranty transactions

  • Communicate effectively with service advisors, technicians, and management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow all dealership policies, procedures, and manufacturer guidelines

Qualifications

  • Automotive or parts experience preferred but not required

  • Willingness to learn GM parts systems and dealership processes

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Professional attitude and strong customer service skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to work indoors and in warehouse environments with varying temperatures
