Service Advisor – Reno Harley-Davidson
Position Summary:
The Service Advisor is responsible for driving service sales by delivering an exceptional customer experience from the initial greeting to final delivery. You will sell service work, parts, and accessories by advising customers on repairs, upgrades, and maintenance that add value to their motorcycles. You are the direct link between the customer and the service department.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively greet every customer and control the service drive from start to finish.
Build repair orders that maximize labor, parts, and upsell opportunities.
Sell preventative maintenance, safety upgrades, performance enhancements, and accessories on every visit.
Identify and close on opportunities the customer hasn’t thought of yet.
Follow a strict, fast-paced communication process with customers to keep jobs moving and increase upsells during the repair process.
Track and close declined services aggressively through future appointments.
Push the sale of additional services while maintaining trust and transparency.
Work closely with Technicians to spot upsell opportunities and quote quickly.
Smash department goals: labor dollars per RO, CP sales, accessory sales, and service GP.
Manage warranty claims and ensure all paperwork is correct the first time.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of Service Advisor, Parts, or Sales experience (motorcycle or auto preferred).
Strong closer with proven upsell ability – no “order takers” wanted.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills – phone, text, and email.
High energy, self-motivated, competitive mindset.
Passion for motorcycles and the Harley-Davidson lifestyle.
Ability to work weekends and peak seasons as needed.
Valid motorcycle license or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
