Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Management & Leadership:
- Assist in managing daily operations of the sales department, ensuring goals and KPIs are consistently met.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and improve their sales skills.
- Act as a role model by demonstrating a high level of salesmanship and a customer-centric approach.
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure all customers receive an exceptional Harley-Davidson experience, promoting the dealership as the best place to buy motorcycles, parts, and accessories.
- Oversee follow-up procedures to maintain a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction, fostering repeat business and referrals.
- Sales Process Optimization:
- Implement and uphold dealership sales processes and ensure team adherence to these processes.
- Support the General Sales Manager in refining sales scripts, word tracks, and negotiation tactics to maximize closing rates.
- Ensure that every lead is thoroughly worked, and every customer interaction is effectively managed for optimal conversion.
- Inventory & Promotions:
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory manager to ensure adequate stock for customer demand.
- Assist in planning and executing sales promotions and events, contributing creative ideas to drive foot traffic and sales.
- Sales Reporting & Analysis:
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to track team performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Assist in setting sales goals and strategies based on data analysis and industry benchmarks.
- Team Development & Training:
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
- Foster a team-oriented environment, encouraging collaboration, and ensuring open communication.
- Operational Support:
- Work alongside the Sales Manager to handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling, inventory checks, and report generation.
- Step in to manage customer escalations and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive dealership reputation.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years in a sales leadership role, preferably within the automotive or motorcycle industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to motivate a team and drive sales.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, parts, and the lifestyle is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
- Licenses: Ability to acquire or possess a sales license as required by the state.
- Results-driven and focused on achieving sales targets.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
