Pay: $34/hr-$40/hr Wise Auto Group is looking to add a new Technician to their team. This person will be accountable for repairing vehicles and their ongoing maintenance for our loyal customers. The ideal candidate will have previous automotive experience working with a variety of engines, be a reliable employee, exhibit teamwork, and add value to our organization. Responsibilities:
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership;
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, specifications, and able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Perform routine maintenance – Tasks include oil changes, tire rotations, transmission flushes, air conditioner re-charges, front end alignments, inspections, battery installations, and headlight/taillight installations.
Conduct diagnostic procedures – Includes extensive diagnostic inventory to determine the sources of customer's problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.
Manage paperwork – Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and our records.
Maintain cleanliness - Ensure the work environment is clean and safe to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience or related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in both front and back of parts counter is preferred
Strong communication and customer relations skills
Strong math and reading comprehension skills
General understanding of various functions of a distribution center
Ability to lift 60 lbs and work at heights of 25 feet or more
Ability to use a forklift or willingness to be certified within 90 days of hire
18 years of age or older
Warehouse experience and material handling equipment experience preferred
Computer-literate with the ability to learn and become proficient in any software program
High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
